* How does the blog makeover process work?

In a nutshell~ you read through the order process and decide what you want, fill out a design inquiry, fill out the questionnaire, get on wait list, calculate price, pay, and then I complete your design.
More detailed~ If you are awarded a spot on my wait list for a blog design, I will send you a design questionnaire about the details of your blog makeover. Upon reviewing that, I will provide some design possibilities. When we've agreed on what graphics will be used for the design I will calculate your total and you pay. The digital products are purchased and I begin work on your design. I will provide you with a proof of the design and you will look it over and let me know of any changes you want. When the design is as you want it, you provide me with access to your blog (either with your log-in/password information or inviting me to be an admin/then granting admin privileges) and your photobucket account, so that I can get your blog installed. More details are outlined throughout the order process which starts HERE.

* How long does a blog makeover take?

A makeover typically takes 2-3 days to complete. Depending on how many clients are on my list, it could be a 1-2 week wait to begin your blog design. I usually work in order of contact, but will jump ahead as I wait to hear back about proofs or if a client chooses the top of the queue option. Blog buttons or other quick services are done within a day or 2 of payment. It’s important for you to check email frequently when we are in the design stage.

* Can I get mine done sooner?

For a $25 fee on top of the price of your makeover, I can move you to the top of my wait list and get started right away. Bumping to the top of my wait list is an option on the Ultimate Makeover Package. If you want your blog done SOON, I just ask that have a good idea of what you want for your design and be prompt with returning emails. Top of the wait list clients will be serviced in the order of payments received.

* Do you require a deposit?

I do not require a deposit. I will add you to my wait list and have you pay when I am ready to begin. If you plan on paying by echeck (via PayPal), please let me know ahead of time so you can pay early enough for the check to clear. I will not begin designing until payment has cleared.

* Can you use any digital kit for a makeover?

No. Each digital designer has created a terms of usage for their products. Some allow web/blog design and some don't. I have come up with a list of designers that do allow their products to be used in this way. I will assist you in picking an approved digital kit for your blog design. The cost of the digital kit is added to your makeover package. If you pick a designer that requires a commercial license (only a few on my list do), you will be required to cover the additional cost of that license also. Most designers require that their products be credited and I will add that info/link to your sidebar.
PLEASE NOTE: Most digital designers do not want their products used on business blogs. Stock images are the best option for business blogs. File sharing of digital kits is not allowed, therefore I will need to obtain the kit that is used in your design.

* Can you use any font for a makeover?

No. I must use a font that has been approved for web/blog design/commercial use. The cost of any font that needs to be purchased will be passed onto the client. A great place for free fonts that are OK for blog design can be found at Kevin & Amanda.

*Can you put those fonts on my sidebar?

No, but there are choices of fonts with Blogger. You can see how to access these here. Some templates will allow for Google Webfonts.

* Can you design with those cute characters that are so popular on blogs?

Yes, I can incorporate a stock image/illustration into the design. I do not create these images myself, so we have to find one at a stock image site that reflects what you want. There are a lot of stock images sites out there, but due to the costs I prefer canstockphoto.com. You can also check other sites such as fotolia.com, dreamstime.com, 123RF.com, or istock.com

* What does a blog makeover entail?

This is outlined on my Services & Prices page: HERE.
Click here for my terms of service.

* What if I need extra help with my blog after you've made it over?

My focus is on the basic design elements outlined in Services & Prices. If you need further help beyond that, I usually charge $5-$20 per request, depending what it is.

* Can you teach me how to blog and put things on the sidebar?

I don't have the time to teach people how to manage their blog. While it would be nice to be able to assist everyone who asks, I would never have time to design for others or to attend to my family. There are lots of great how to blog tutorials out there on the web. I've listed many of these basic ones near the middle of my left sidebar of my Blogger Tutor site. Adding and editing sidebar widgets seem to be what I am asked about most. Here is short tutorial that I created to teach the basics of sidebar widgets/gadgets. I do offer blog management services for additional costs, but these services will be provided on a case by case basis. I want people to be independent bloggers and not pay me to blog for them. I do offer one-on-one tutoring via Skype. More information about that can be found here.

* What should I have you put on my navigation bar?

This provides the biggest headache for both me and my clients because many assume that I come up with what they want linked when I add a navigation bar. The exact names of the links & what they are linked to (URLs) are provided by the client. I’ve created a tutorial explaining the navigation bar here.

* I just want a new header for my blog. How much is that?

I will create a new header and install it for $35 + the cost of design elements. It's $45 + elements for an animated header.

* How do I pay you?

I use PayPal for payment. Once we've figured out what services you are getting I can send a pay request or you can pay via the PayPal links on my sidebar. PayPal is quick, easy, and secure. They accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and eCheck from your bank account. They do not share any account information with me. If you don't want to open a PayPal account you can still pay me through PayPal. Click here for instructions if you don't have PayPal.

* How come others charge more for a makeover?

I've tried to figure that out myself! I’ve looked at the pricing of other designers who have been doing this as long as I have and my prices are quite reasonable! Once you start working with me you will see that I take the time to create a design that is truly unique to you and that my customer service is top notch! You won't be disappointed!

* Do you offer any discounts?

I have a refer-a-friend program at CBD. If you refer someone for one of my makeover packages, I will give you a $5 coupon to be used toward any services. Refer several friends and get big savings.

* I am awaiting an adoption referral/birth of child. Will you add a photo to my header once I've received it?

Please discuss this with me ahead of time and I will come up with a plan on how that will be added for no additional charge. The same applies if you are waiting a birth or wedding or similar life event. If you are going with an animated header, I will charge you $8 to add that photo in (as I have to start over with the animation process.) If you are near to referral and want your header animated, I recommend that we wait to animate it until after you have your referral picture. Then you won't be charged the extra $8.

* Do you only do makeovers for blogger?

Yes, I only do Blogger (blogspot) blogs.

* Can I get a domain name for my blogger blog?

Yes, but you are responsible for doing this. This is not a service I provide.

* Can I get your services for my business blog?

Yes. Please contact me for a custom quote. I we need to obtain special permission from a designer to use their digital products if you want a digital kit to be used. The designer might require a commercial license which you will be required to pay for. People will often use stock images for their business blogs.

* Do you provide any other services?

YES! I can make custom blinkies, banners, blog buttons, or other graphics. I can make a Twitter background or Facebook Timeline Cover to match your blog design. I also do custom digital scrapbooking. Please contact me for more information on this.

* Are you a mind reader?

NO! I need for clients to provide me with brief, but concise details of what they want before I get started. It is very aggravating when a client responds that a proof is not what they had envisioned. Have a vision? Please share it! This also applies to links on a navigation link bar. Clients need to tell me the exact link names and provide what they want linked to each.

* Are you as good looking as you are smart?

Certainly NOT!
